Ashbury
The first route is a short walk (2.25 miles) with open countryside, hills and lovely views. This walk includes the village of Ashbury and a wander through the Kingstone Coombes.
The second walk is more energetic (5 miles) and as well as taking you through Ashbury, it leads you to the ancient Waylands Smithy Long Barrow. Like the first walk there are hills and great views.
The third Ashbury route (6.75 miles) heads south around the North Wessex Downs and also takes you to Waylands Smithy. In addition, this route ventures around the outside of Ashdown Park and to the location of Alfred's castle.
The final Ashbury route is an adventure, it’s a long (8.75 miles) walk that shows what the North Wessex Downs has to offer. Like the earlier walk, this route will take you to Waylands Smithy, Alfred's castle, Ashdown Park and Ashbury itself where you'll find a lovely pub to recharge after a long walk.
