Harting Down walk

2 walks of 0.75 miles and 3.75 miles

The first Harting Down walk is just a simple short walk to the top of Harting Hill where you can expect some lovely views. The car park is already quite high up the hill, so there is not too much climbing involved, but there is still a bit to climb so be prepared for a mild workout.

The second Harting Down walk is a longer and much more strenuous walk around the whole Harting Down area. Heading clockwise, you'll climb Harting Hill as in the first walk, but then you'll head further east along a glorious path until you reach Beacon Hill with it's breathtaking panoramic views to enjoy. The walk then heads back on a winding loop through a glorious valley and then back over Harting Hill again, making this an energetic but rewarding walk.

To get these walks on your phone, just search ‘Sussex Walks’ on your app store or download the iPhone version here and Android version here.
