We have complied a list of the top 20 walks in Wiltshire, voted for by our users. Our mobile walking app includes over 200 Wiltshire walks and users now have the ability to feedback on each walk.
We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been completing the feedback form within the Wiltshire Walks app. As most of you know, we recently added a feature that allows users to rate different aspects of each walk including how dog friendly the walk was, buggy friendly, pub on route etc. The feedback has been great and we have been collating the data and have some early results for you. It's still early days so please keep providing your feedback in the app and we will provide an updated list of the best walks in Wiltshire later in the year..

1. Savernake (4.8 out of 5.0 from 8 reviews)
1.75 and 6 mile routes
Our two walks around Savernake Forest will guide you through woodland paths and ancient forest. There are also picnic spots in the forest and it’s a great family friendly option.

2. Lechlade (4.8 out of 5.0 from 8 reviews)
3 mile route
Lechlade is just over the border into Gloucestershire, but it's proximity to Swindon and high ratings makes it worth entering into this list. Both routes are great but the second longer walk is a wonderful adventure with riverside walking, a stroll through the cotswold village of Lechlade and also a visit to another lovely riverside pub.

3. Great Coxwell (4.7 out of 5.0 from 12 reviews)
3.75 mile route
A short trip across the border into Oxfordshire, you'll find this lovely circular walk from the Great Coxwell Barn. It visits some open countryside, some woodland, the village of Great Coxwell and Badbury Hill.

5. Martinsell Hill (4.6 out of 5.0 from 10 reviews)
1.75 and 7.75 mile routes
Both of the Martinsell Hill walks scored highly and our longer route is a lovely walk with lots on offer around the Vale of Pewsey. This walk will visit the top of Martinsell Hill, with it’s glorious views and will guide you along the White Horse Trail. This walk also includes the Kennet and Avon Canal as well as the village of Wootton Rivers. There are some hill climbs on this walk according to our users, it’s best done anti-clockwise so that you can do the steep climb first and enjoy the pub at the end.

A short stroll around the interesting Caen Hill locks which is a flight of 29 locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

This is our longest walk from the picture-perfect village of Castle Combe. The walk takes you on an adventure through wonderful woodland and countryside and visits the village of Ford.There is some quiet road walking on this route as well as a section alongside a golf course, so please be careful.

This is a pleasant and varied circular walk between the villages of Farley and Pitton. Expect open countryside, woodland sections and a pub in Pitton on this walk.

11. Pewsey Downs (4.6 out of 5.0 from 14 reviews)
3 mile and 4.25 mile routes
There are two favourites in the Pewsey Downs. The first one takes you west from the car park and visits the top of Milk Hill where you'll experience some fantastic views as well as taking you right past the Alton Barnes White Horse.The second heads to the top of Knap Hill for some great views before taking you on an adventure through open countryside with lovely views until you reach Gopher Wood for a short woodland stroll. There is quite a climb, so go prepared for a strenuous walk.

A nice, but slightly strenuous, circular walk from the pretty church in Rushall up to Cleeve and Rushall Hills and back through Charlton St Peter.

This is a lovely varied walk where you'll visit both the Old and New Wardour Castles as well as enjoying the lovely lakes, woodland and countryside around Wardour Park.

This is a wonderful long and strenuous walk over the downs to the south of Cherhill. There are plenty of wonderful views to enjoy throughout this walk and you'll also walk along a section of the Wessex Ridgeway.

This is a nice varied walk that starts in the lovely Downton Moot park and then takes you through Downton and north along the River Avon for a circular walk around the water meadows. There is a short section of road walking on this walk.

This is an epic adventure around this beautiful part of Wiltshire. You'll walk an extended section of the Mandyke path, climb to the top of Clifford's Hill for some wonderful views and walk a big stretch alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal. There are some steep drop-offs on this walk, so please be careful.

The second route option from the village of Biddestone is a circular walk that was put together as part of the Corsham Walking Festival and seeks to explore the area between Biddestone, Slaughterford and Ford. It offers magnificent views of the villages, By Brook valley and the flood meadows, all part of the Cotswolds AONB.Visit www.corshamwalkingfestival.org.uk to find out more about this walk - 'The Biddestone Heritage Trail' - and be aware that there is some road walking on this route.

This is a lovely long walk in the pretty countryside that you'll find between Edington and Coulston. There is a section of quiet road walking on this route and a fair amount of hill climbing, and the little detour marked on the map takes you to a nice pub for well-earned refreshments during your walk.
