It’s also a popular area for walking and after a day of wandering around the village and exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, why not finish the day in one of the Bourton-on-the-Water pubs for a well earned reward. Bourton-on-the-Water walk with pubs

This walk starts at grid reference: 51.881142,-1.753773
The walk starts in the car park near the Birdland Park and Gardens in the pretty Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water with it's bustling high street full of pubs, cafes, shops and attractions. If you are walking anti-clockwise following the river, you will pass the Kingsbridge riverside pub, followed by The Wellington pub a bit further along. The walk then takes you out towards the peaceful open countryside where you will continue to follow the River Windrush. Along the route you will pass the scenic village of Lower Slaughter nestled on the River Eye with its honey coloured stone houses, Old Mill and yet another wonderful pub! You then head back across open countryside to Bourton-on-the-Water, past The Mousetrap pub and the pretty church of St Lawrence before reaching the high street. Finally you will walk past The Old New Inn where you have a pub and the famous Model Village. Please be aware there is some road walking and part of the walk crosses a busy road so be careful.
