Tetbury Walks

Tetbury is a pretty Cotswold market town and we have three delightful Tetbury walks that offer a blend of historic charm and scenic countryside.

The first Tetbury walk is a short town walk that leads you through Tetbury's historic streets. The second Tetbury walk takes you through a tree-lined valley, offering a tranquil escape before looping back along country lanes with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Finally, the longest route follows the Tetbury Trail through a valley towards Ashley village, then returns along The Monarch's Way, showcasing Tetbury’s beautiful landscapes. Each walk includes an option to explore Tetbury’s heart, where you can enjoy the town's rich heritage, timeless architecture and vibrant boutique shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Tetbury town walk
1.75 miles

Tetbury is a charming Cotswold market town and this first walk takes you on a tour of Tetbury's historic streets where you'll discover its timeless architecture and rich heritage as well as boutique shops, cafes and restaurants. This walk is mainly on pavements and tarmac but it does have some steep sections.

Tetbury valley walk
3.75 miles

The second walk starts from the Old Railyard car park and takes you along a pretty tree-lined valley, heading away from Tetbury. There is then a steady climb as you loop back around, following a country lane, where you can enjoy some lovely views over the countryside surrounding Tetbury. The final stage takes you through fields and open countryside before heading back into the town, We have added a short extension from the start of the walk which takes you into the middle of Tetbury where you can find shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is some road walking on this route along a country lane.

Tetbury Trail and Ashley walk
6.75 miles

The third walk from Tetbury is our longest route and starts by following the Tetbury Trail along a pretty tree-lined valley before heading towards the village of Ashley. The route then heads back to Tetbury along a section on The Monarch's Way through the lovely Cotswold countryside. This route also includes a short extension at the start which takes you into the middle of the town where you can explore Tetbury's historic landmarks, stroll along the cobblestone streets and visit the charming shops, boutiques, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
