Northaw Great Wood walk 1
0.75 miles
This first option is the shortest and is known as the 'Red Trail'. The woods are free to enjoy, but they encourage visitors to make a £1 donation in the honesty box attached to the office building, facing the car park.

1.5 miles
The second trail is a longer walk in the lovely Northaw Great Wood and this options is way-marked as the 'Blue Trail'. All of the way-marked trails have been put together to try and avoid some of the muddier areas of the wood, so it's best to try and keep to these trails. That said, as with all woodland walks, wellies are probably a good idea in wet weather.

2.75 miles
Finally, for those of you that have a bit more time and want to stretch your legs a bit more, the final trail is known as the 'Yellow Trail' and it explores the full perimeter of the wood. The three trails are all actually different, so if yuo want an even longer walk, you could simply complete a combination of them to make one big long adventure.
