Our Chee Dale Stepping Stones walk is a beautiful walk full of variety and interest. You can find it on our Derbyshire Walks app as ‘Millers Dale walk 3’. The app will guide you around the route and show your location on your mobile phone as you walk. The route starts at Miller’s Dale Station car park which is an old railway station. In addition to the Chee Dale Stepping Stones walk, we also have another 5 walks starting from the Millers Dale car park. The first part of the walk travels along the Monsal Trail, followed by the Chee Tor Tunnel. The second part of the walk is a thrilling adventure. The path beside the river will take you through a beautiful ravine where you will find the famous Chee Dale Stepping Stones. The walk through Chee Dale is stunning with it’s dramatic limestone cliffs, vibrant colours and wildflowers. This walk is fairly challenging but as long as you are agile and steady on your feet you should be fine. It Can be wet, muddy and slippery after wet weather and should be avoided if the river is at a high level!

This has been our favourite walk so far from the app. It was very slippery in places and the stepping stones were a bit scary but great fun too. Not a good walk though for anyone who is not firm on their feet but a very beautiful walk.
